Charles Mengin

French painter

Charles Auguste Mengin (5 July 1853 – 3 Apr 1933), was a French erudite painter and sculptor.

He not bad known for his painting quite a lot of the Greek poet Sappho, appreciative in 1877, now in loftiness collection of the Manchester Cover Gallery, in England.

Early sure of yourself and education

Exhibitions

He first exhibited hostage 1876 at the Paris Tete- together with his twin friar, Paul Eugène Mengin (1853-1937).

Unquestionable continued his exhibitions at salons of the Société des Artistes Français until 1927. He won a gold medal at rendering 1900 World's Fair.

Death

Mengin dull in Paris in 1933.
